The Miss Teen British Isles 2020/21 Competition Rules for finalists are as follows:

 

The judge’s decision is final and correspondences from contestants will not be entered into.

Contestants legal gender must be female.

Contestants must disclose their legal name as stated on their passport and Birth Certificate.

Contestants must be aged between 16 & 19 years old on 26.9.20 and have left year 11

Contestants will be required to confirm proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate or passport.  

Contestants must have the right to work in the UK.

Contestants must live within the British Isles.

Contestants are permitted to wear hair extensions and/or hairpieces.

Guys are not permitted in the female changing rooms under any circumstances.

Contestants must not have a criminal record or have anything in their background that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute. They must not at any time have been involved in any illegal activities or use of drugs of any nature.

Contestants must never have posed or worked full frontal nude for any type of photographic, dance or video work or done any type of work which is classed as pornographic.

Contestants must never have worked as a lap-dancer either topless or nude.

Contestants must never have done any type of web cam work.

Contestants must not have or have had any type of pay to view/subscription adult/glamour website.

Finalists are responsible for people they bring to the event or associate with the event including parents, friends, sponsors and guests. Good behaviour and sportsmanship, is expected from all finalists, parents, guests and sponsors at all times when at any part of the competition or anything associated with the competition. Any persons associated with the contestant that causes disruption or problem at any part of the event will lead to the disqualification of the finalist

Any contestant and/or family member, sponsor or guest that through their actions, brings the competition into disrepute or by their actions uses the Miss Teen British Isles name without permission or passes off the Miss Teen British Isles name or anything similar as their own or damages the name of the Miss Teen British Isles competition will be disqualified. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

All contestants understand and agree that the Miss Teen British Isles title or any similar variation must not be used without The Miss British Isles Organisation consent.

All finalists must attend the prize studio shoot prior to the final stages which is supplied by Studio North West Ltd. The studio is located on the Wirral, Merseyside.

Where finalists are offered a direct entry place in the National Final and opt for the two-payment option, if the second payment is not paid on time, 1 month after the first payment, then they will not be permitted to take part in the National Final. They will lose their place in the event and their place will be offered to another applicant.

They will be transferred to the next relevant Miss British Isles semi-final, which may be the following year.

Finalists are not permitted to use any online fundraising services such as Go Fund Me or Just Giving to raise the entry fee or any other costs for the competition.

If a Finalist wishes to use their involvement in the Miss Teen British Isles competition to raise money for a good cause, this must be agreed in writing between the finalist and The Miss British Isles Organisation before fundraising starts.

Finalists or their family must not be involved in the running, assisting, organising, promotion, fundraising or management of any other modelling competition or pageant, without advanced written permission The Miss British Isles Organisation.

Contestants are not permitted to take part in the competition if they are a current title holder of another pageant or modelling competition and have not yet handed over the title, without advanced written permission from The Miss British Isles Organisation.

Contestants must not have a verbal or written contract with any type of agency, manager / management company or other model competition / pageant organiser that forbids them to work with The Miss British Isles Organisation should they become the titleholder.

The Miss British Isles Organisation will only deal directly with the contestant and not through any third party.

Contestants will permit The Miss British Isles Organisation and their licensees the right to use contestant’s photographs for publicity purposes in connection with all Miss British Isles competitions.

All contestants agree to be interviewed by the press (if required) and have their photographs taken for publication in the press, on the internet and social media without objection.

All prizes won by contestants are strictly non-exchangeable or transferable. The Miss British Isles Organisation reserves the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.

All fees paid for and to The Miss British Isles Organisation are not refundable and not transferrable in full or in part under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, sponsorship, tickets, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to the organisers of the event by anyone including, but not limited to, contestants, sponsors, guests and advertisers.

Contestants must ensure that the information given on the entry is true and factual and the photographs used for entry are recent and of a clear likeness to their current look. Contestants found to have given false personal information or clearly out of date photos will be removed from the competition. The organisers have the right to replace these contestants and no refund will be given.

Finalists and their family must make and pay for their own travel arrangements. The Miss British Isles Organisation is not responsible for arranging travel or intervening / resolving disputes involving travel to the competition.

The date/venue of the photo shoot or final stages or any part of the competition is subject to change and in such a case, the entrant is not eligible for a refund.

The Miss British Isles Organisation are not responsible for negligence, fraud or failure to deliver on the part of the competition sponsors, judges, photographers, or any hotel who may be providing products, prizes or services to contestants

The Miss British Isles Organisation or any of its employees or sub-contractors shall not be held liable for any mishaps, accidents, injuries or loss of property that may arise during the competition.

 

Social Media, Online & Press release guidelines

 

After entering the Miss Teen British Isles competition or after being accepted, the finalist must not post glamour / lingerie / revealing or provocative photos on their social media or any other platform or directory, that were not there when they entered or were accepted.

Finalists who ignore this rule will either lose their place in the final or have points deducted at the final.

Paid commercial modelling work for lingerie brands is acceptable provided the photos are tasteful but the finalist must not tag Miss British Isles in any of these posts.

All contestants in Miss Teen British Isles must not be photographed in any type of lingerie or unsuitable clothing in any photograph to promote the competition or when using the Miss Teen British Isles sash, name or hashtag.

Any contestant and/or family member, sponsor or guest who attacks or posts negative comments about any other contestant or the organisers of the competition online will lead to the disqualification of the contestant. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

No other Miss British Isles hashtag should be used, except as specified below. Contestants must not use hashtags for competitions they are not in.

Contestants should be very careful when posting on social media not to cause offence, this includes the use / posting of inappropriate song lyrics.

Contestants should be aware when posting using Miss British Isles hashtags these posts / images may be seen by the judges.

All Finalists in Miss Teen British Isles should put on all their social media bios that they are a finalist using the wording

Finalist – Miss Teen British Isles @missbritishisles

Finalists must not put just the words Miss Teen British Isles in their social media bios as this implies that they are the current title holder.

Finalists should post the social media graphics provided by The Miss British Isles Organisation on all their social media main photo sections within 2 weeks of receiving them. Social media tags and hashtags are not required as details are on the graphics.

Finalists should follow all the relevant Miss British Isles social media pages and must disclose and allow The Miss British Isles Organisation to follow all their social media pages.

Finalists should promote their involvement in the competition in their local area and on social media.

All images from the prize studio shoot prior to the final stages are free of charge and are supplied by Studio North West Ltd.

The best photo of the finalist wearing the Official sash in front of the Miss British Isles banner should be posted on the finalist’s social media main photo sections within 2 weeks of receiving the images. In addition, the best photo from each of the other 2 outfits, should also be posted separately, with the relevant social media tag and hashtag – see section Social Media Tags & Hashtags below for correct details.

All images from the prize studio shoot are for personal use only and must not be used on social media or anywhere else without the relevant social media tags and hashtags – see section Social Media Tags & Hashtags below for correct details.

All images from the prize studio shoot must not be used by any other modelling competition / pageant or for the promotion of any other modelling competition / pageant.

All images from the prize studio shoot can be used by Modelling, Casting, Talent and Acting agencies as well as directories provided a credit stating @missbritishisles is used.

The finalist must post online on all their social media a post for the sponsor of the prize studio shoot if requested to do so by Miss British Isles.

All press/media releases and online stories must be approved by The Miss British Isles Organisation before being sent out to the media. The term media means magazines, newspapers, websites, magazines and social media pages. Finalists must use the Official press release pack and Official photo wearing the sash in front of the Miss British Isles banner. Press releases must not make any mentions of any other pageant / modelling competition or modelling / casting agency.

Press releases must be restricted to the area on the finalist’s sash to include the Geographical County. Finalists must not contact National / International / Regional media and magazines without discussing it and getting approval from The Miss British Isles Organisation.

The Miss Teen British Isles 2020/21 Competition Rules for the winner are as follows:

 

The winner must meet and adhere to the following rules and regulations in order to hold the Miss Teen British Isles title and claim/retain the prizes.

The National winner will be required to confirm that they meet the rules of the contest and provide proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate or passport.  

The winner must never have posed or worked full frontal nude for any type of photographic, dance or video work or done any type of work which is classed as pornographic and must not do so while the title holder.

The winner must never have worked as a lap-dancer either topless or nude and must not do so while the title holder.

The winner must not pose or work topless or nude, while the title holder for any type of work.

The winner must never have done any type of web cam work and must not do so while the title holder.

The winner must not have or have had any type of pay to view/subscription adult/glamour website and must not do so while the title holder.

The winner must not have a criminal record or have anything in their background that could bring the contest or its sponsors into disrepute. They must not at any time have been involved in any illegal activities or use of drugs of any nature.

The winner of the Miss Teen British Isles title understands that until they hand over the title, their professional affairs as Miss Teen British Isles will be under the sole management of The Miss British Isles Organisation and /or their licensees.

The winner must not have or while the winner, enter into a verbal or written contract with any type of agency, manager / management company or other model competition/pageant organiser that forbids them to work with The Miss British Isles Organisation should they become the titleholder.

The Miss British Isles Organisation will only deal directly with the winner and not through any third party. If the winner signs any agreement that stops this then they will lose the title and all the prizes.

The winner also confirms that she will not give any written, verbal or photographic endorsements commercially as Miss Teen British Isles without the written permission of The Miss British Isles Organisation.  

The winner further acknowledges that any appearances, endorsements, modelling, promotions, speaking engagements, acting roles etc will be organised by The Miss British Isles Organisation.

The National winner must attend the next year’s final to hand over the title to the new winner.

The National winner must not enter any other modelling competitions or pageants until she hands over the Miss Teen British Isles title without the written permission of The Miss British Isles Organisation.

The winner must have the right to work in the UK.

The winner must live within the British Isles for the duration of the title except for normal holidays. If the winner moves outside of the British Isles for a period of more than 6 weeks while holding the title, the Miss British Isles Organisation reserve the right to withdraw the title and prizes.

As the main prizes are the modelling contract / photo-shoots for which the winner will be paid, it is an absolute requirement that the winner does not change their winning look. This includes, changing of hair colour, major change in hairstyle or the use of cosmetic procedures or filers. The winning look must be maintained throughout the period of the title unless agreed in writing with The Miss British Isles Organisation prior to any change.

The National winner must be available for all personal appearances and modelling / promotional contracts offered to her by The Miss British Isles Organisation and their associate clients and agents until she hands over the title.

The National winner agrees to do a combined total of 10 personal appearances and photo-shoots as Miss Teen British Isles as part of the modelling contract which is part and included in the prize. The prize will be paid in 3 stages and will be paid in full once the winner’s obligations are completed. 

All prizes won by the winner are strictly non-exchangeable or transferable. The Miss British Isles Organisation reserve the right to amend and replace competition prizes without prior notice with a prize of similar value.

The National winner agrees to have photographs taken with all of her prizes for use by the sponsors. These photographs may also be published on the Miss British Isles websites, social media and the press.

Social Media, Online & Press release guidelines

If after winning the Miss Teen British Isles title the winner chooses to post glamour / lingerie / revealing or provocative photos on their social media or any other platform or directory, then they will lose the title and all the prizes.
